Hook and Loop Fastener with Adhesive Backing — User Guide

A hook and loop fastener consists of two components: the "loop" side, which is covered in soft, dense ring-shaped fibers, and the "hook" side, which features tiny stems resembling mushrooms or fishhooks. When pressed together, the hooks grip the loops, creating a secure closure. Known for its convenience and strong adhesive backing, it is also widely referred to as self-adhesive hook and loop or no-sew tape.

To ensure maximum performance, please follow these steps for application:

1. Determine Usage and Select Specifications

First, choose the right adhesive hook and loop tape based on your needs. Common types include standard adhesive (for smooth surfaces), mushroom head (for heavy-duty use), and automotive grade (for high-temperature resistance). Ensure the material of the object is suitable for adhesive application.

2. Clean and Dry the Surface

This is the most critical step for adhesion. Wipe the target surface thoroughly with a dry cloth or rubbing alcohol.

• Free of Debris: Ensure the surface is free of dust, grease, and dirt.

• Keep Dry: There must be no moisture residue. Even minor dampness will compromise the adhesive's strength.

3. Measure and Cut Accurately

Use a soft measuring tape to determine the exact dimensions required.

• Leave Margin: It is recommended to leave a small margin to avoid insufficient coverage.

• Cut Evenly: Cut the tape to the desired shape and size. For heavy loads, cut a slightly wider piece to increase the contact area.

4. Peel and Stick

Carefully peel off the release liner (protective film) on the back to expose the adhesive.

• Align Position: Before sticking, check the placement to ensure it is correct.

• Apply Firmly: Once the adhesive touches the surface, it bonds instantly. Try to position it correctly on the first attempt to avoid reapplying.

5. Press Firmly and Allow to Cure

After applying the tape, do not apply weight immediately.

• Apply Pressure: Press firmly with your thumb or palm for about 30 seconds, paying special attention to the corners and edges to ensure full contact.

• Curing Time: For optimal adhesion, avoid hanging heavy objects or pulling on the tape for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully set.
